In Memoriam

“Mr. Largo” was shown in  Versatility, Performance, Pleasure, Bella Forma, & Costume. Also known for competing & beating hunter-Jumpers at their game. Awards on national, state, & Regional levels abound. His off-spring are 99% fillies & all are 14.3 to 15 hands tall.
After 35 1/2 years we had to say goodbye on 7/15/2013. Otherwise healthy, Sabio developed an aggressive bone cancer in one hoof. He went home with all but one of his teeth, which we attribute to regular dental care and a good diet. He was still being ridden up until the previous December. All through the winter, spring, and early summer he continued to canter in the pasture. Dante has competed in the Fino, Bella Forma, Performance, & Pleasure divisions. Full of fire & spirit under saddle, he is enthusiastic & intelligent. In hand he is a very lovable, gentle horse thriving on physical human touch.  Out in the pasture, he loves to jump  over the obstacles we have set up for jumping. He does this with excellent balance, form, & carriage.  Proving to be a great athlete, Dante has mastered the extension & speed for the corto & largo in addition to carrying a rider over obstacles with ease.

We have our own foals for sale, by availability, however, there are ALWAYS consignments listed with us. We are dedicated to matching the personality of the horse & the person in addition to the expectations of skill, use, & investment.

Training & Riding Instruction

We train horses at all ages & stages of development.  We focus on bringing the character & personality out in the horse. The horse learns how to ENJOY the training; to develop an attitude of pride; & we tell you what their particular strong points are.  All fees & contracts are customized to the individual’s goals.

NO QUICK - FIX METHODS ARE USED

NO “CLICKER” TRAINING IS USED NOR,

ARE ANY OTHER ARTIFICAL “TRICKS”

All levels of riding instruction are taught with the tendency to specialize in helping people with physical rehabilitation/maintenance needs. Instruction is generally private & customized to the individual’s level of understanding, needs, & goals. At times, group interaction is suggested/employed here.

 

Problem/Re-Hab Horses:

We work with abused horses; those recovering from physical &/or emotional traumas where fears are a problem. Our farm’s location & environment offer an excellent opportunity for positive change.
